1. Introduction

LATIMUS (Learning and Teaching in Music) is committed to providing high-quality educational services and products. This Refunds and Returns Policy outlines your rights regarding cancellations, refunds, and returns for both in-person and online services, as well as any physical or digital products purchased from us.

This policy complies with UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

2. Services Covered

This policy applies to:

  • In-person music tuition and workshops
  • Online classes, video lessons, and downloadable resources
  • Merchandise, including books, instruments, or media
  • Digital products, including scores, audio files, and software

3. Cancellation of In-Person and Online Tuition

You have the right to cancel any tuition booking made online or by phone within 14 days of confirmation, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If the service begins during this cancellation period with your consent, you may be charged a pro-rata amount for the service provided.

  • Cancellations made with at least 48 hours’ notice may be eligible for a full refund or credit.
  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may not be eligible for a refund, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
  • Non-attendance without notice is not eligible for a refund.

To cancel or reschedule a session, please contact us at [insert email].

4. Refunds for Digital Products and Online Courses

Due to the nature of digital content:

  • Digital downloads and streamed content are non-refundable once accessed, unless faulty or not as described.
  • If you experience issues accessing content or believe the product is defective, contact us within 14 days and we will aim to resolve the issue or offer a refund if appropriate.

Refunds will not be granted for dissatisfaction based solely on personal preference or misunderstanding of the content, so please read product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

5. Returns for Physical Goods

Physical items (such as books, CDs, or musical accessories) may be returned if:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery;
  • In their original condition, unused, and with all original packaging;
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase.

Non-returnable items include:

  • Gift cards or vouchers
  • Digital products (once accessed or downloaded)
  • Perishable or personalised goods
  • Items marked as final sale or clearance

6. Faulty or Damaged Items

If an item is received damaged, defective, or not as described, you have the right to request:

  • A replacement or repair; or
  • A full refund (including standard delivery costs) within 30 days of receipt.

Contact us immediately at [insert email] with a description and photographic evidence of the issue. We will provide instructions for return or exchange.
